In the late nineteenth century product of the wealth of mining in Chile, these families introduce fine varieties of French origin, principally Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot and the best Malbec of Chile.

In the early twentieth century made the first exports of bulk wine in barrels to Europe from Colchagua, definitively establishing the character of this Valley Wine. Colchagua Valley was internationally awarded “Best Wine Region of the World 2005″ award for the first time in its history is presented to a wine region in South America.

The Aconcagua Valley is only 1:30 Hours driving north of the city of Santiago. Has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers that are cooled by breezes of the Pacific Ocean and its cold Humboldt Current. This cooling influence creates a long growing season with ripening some two to three weeks later than any other Chilean wine region.
